After examining the images from the state of Ohio (or any of the other states, if you wish), answer the following questions in a 2-3 page paper, due at the beginning of class on Thursday, November 3:

How did these artists' emphasis on the power of collective work serve to advance the New Deal's political agenda? How did depictions of individual workers in these murals foster citizens' confidence in the government?
